Pastor Erick Anaya, Hispanic Mission Nueva Creacion
Pastor Erick came to First Baptist Church in September 2005 to plant our Hispanic Mission Nueva Creacion. He and his family, wife Alma, sons, David and Jonathan, are originally from Mexico City.
He received a Master of Arts in Christian Education with a concentration in Hispanic Studies from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. At the present time he is just a dissertation away from finishing a Doctorate in Christian Education with an emphasis on leadership from that same institution.
It is Pastor Erick’s effort and desire to let all people know the entire counsel of God as it is revealed in the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testaments alike; not only through words but also through actions. Likewise to develop in the members an analytical mindset in which they learn how to understand, interpret, and apply Biblical sound doctrine, so that they truly have a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and a continuing life transforming experience through His Spirit.
